Perched high above Maroubra beach, this luxury residence was designed to accomodate a growing family. Spanning over five levels with full lift access, this five-bedroom residence boasts a grand master bedroom at the top of the house, offering panoramic 180-degree views of the stunning coastline all the way out to Coogee.

Despite its grandeur, the design ensures utmost privacy from neighbouring properties. The uninterrupted views across Maroubra beach were achieved despite the 11m cross-fall in the property and two street front entrances. The lower level was used as the vehicular entrance, while the top floor was designated as the pedestrian and visitors’ entrance.

The balconies, sculpted back to follow the topography of the land, are a reflection of the sails of the ocean, creating a continuously changing visual effect from the street front as you pass by.

The flow throughout the five stories is encouraged through shapes and sculptural forms that create a sense of movement, making the journey through the space a continuously unfolding experience.

As visitors progress through the building, they encounter different spacial experiences, from the dining room to the bedrooms to the entertainment rooms, each one teasing the main attraction – the unfettered view across the harbour. The journey through the house creates an anticipation, inviting visitors to enter into different volumes of space before reaching the view. This same experience is mirrored as they leave the house, ensuring a truly unforgettable experience from beginning to end.
